Spring Wedding at Ashton Lodge Country House
Pip & Tom’s Fun Packed Wedding at Ashton Lodge Country House
During May, I had the absolute delight of photographing Pip and Tom’s wedding at the enchanting Ashton Lodge Country House in Warwickshire. This was my first time at this charming venue, and I’m already hoping it won’t be my last because it truly stole my heart.
A month before the big day, I had a video call with Pip to chat about their wedding plans and just have a casual catch-up. Pip turned out to be one of the coolest, most laid-back people I’ve ever met. Her chill vibe made me even more excited for the wedding. I wouldn’t meet Tom until the actual day, but he matched Pip’s relaxed demeanor perfectly, which was lovely.
I arrived bright and early on the wedding day to explore and soak in the venue’s charm. Ashton Lodge oozes character and elegance, and it was impossible not to fall in love with it. While Pip and her bridal squad were getting ready in the bridal prep space, Tom was upstairs in one of the bedrooms. This setup was perfect for me to capture both the bridal and groom preparations since they were so close to each other.
The bridal prep was a blast! The room was buzzing with excitement, music was pumping, and a few cheeky glasses of bubbly were being enjoyed. The high spirits were infectious, and I could tell from this moment that the day was going to be unforgettable. About an hour before the ceremony, I headed up to meet Tom and his groomsmen. They were nearly ready, and we captured some fantastic moments of the lads together, looking just as excited and prepared as the bridal party.
One of my favourite moments to capture is the first look between the father and the bride, and Pip’s was no exception. We even got the bridesmaids and the brides man involved, making it even more special. Their reactions when they saw Pip in her stunning dress were priceless! (You can catch the video reaction on my Instagram!)
Pip’s dress was incredible, with a rock ‘n’ roll and gothic vibe that was so unique and absolutely suited her. (You rocked it, Pip!)
Once the bridal prep was wrapped up, I moved to the garden area to snap the guests arriving. The sun was shining brightly, and the atmosphere was joyful as everyone eagerly awaited the ceremony.

The ceremony itself was beautiful. Pip’s father looked immensely proud walking her down the aisle, and Tom was beaming as he saw his bride approaching. The room was filled with laughter, a few happy tears, and before we knew it, Pip and Tom were officially Mr. and Mrs. Congratulations!
Post-ceremony, we headed outside for a fun confetti shot, followed by the drinks reception and canapés. Pip had a little surprise for Tom – a new cap! Tom, who practically lives in a cap, was thrilled and wore it for most of the day, adding a unique touch to their wedding photos.
The venue’s garden was spacious, perfect for the kids to run around and have a blast. There was even a swing, which Tom decided to try out. He had a little mishap and flipped off, hitting his nose, but he laughed it off and continued enjoying the day. That moment made for a unique photo (thanks for the memory, Tom!), and I made sure to edit out the mark on his nose in the final images.
After capturing some group photos and couple portraits, it was time for the wedding speeches before the wedding breakfast. The speeches ranged from hilarious to heartwarming, with every emotion on display.

Post-wedding breakfast, the fun ramped up even more. Guests dove into wedding games like Jenga, getting creative and competitive. I even got the drone out to capture some epic shots of their Jenga creations. There were also skittles, and it was amusing to see how competitive the adults got!
As evening fell, guests relaxed, mingled, and enjoyed each other’s company, while the children continued to play and have fun. The day flew by, and soon it was time for the cake cutting and the first dance. Guests joined the couple on the dance floor, showcasing their best moves. Given the lovely weather, many guests enjoyed more time outside.
The perfect end to a perfect day was a sparkler send-off. Guests lined up with sparklers, and Pip and Tom walked through the center, capturing the magic and joy of the day.
Congratulations again to Pip and Tom on your marriage! You are an amazing couple, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Thank you to both of you, your family, and friends for making me feel so welcome. A huge shout-out to the Ashton Lodge Country House staff for ensuring everyone had the best day ever.
YOU ALL ROCK!
