From a wedding photographer’s point of view, the great thing about Dodmoor House is that there is so much variety to the venue. Some venues can be quite limited in terms of the amount of space available and this can sometimes mean that you end up taking similar photographs each time you go there. This isn’t the case with Dodmoor House however, as it has so much space as well as beautiful well maintained ground, I would never have to take the same photo twice.

Dodmoor House is hands down one of my favourite venues to shoot at. It’s got everything that makes for a relaxed, fun wedding—beautiful barns, stunning outdoor spaces, and a warm, intimate feel. Here’s why I love capturing weddings here:

The courtyard, gardens, and canal-side setting mean there’s no shortage of amazing photo spots. Confetti shots on the steps, golden hour portraits by the water, guests laughing in the courtyard—it’s a dream for natural, storytelling-style photography.

The team at Dodmoor is brilliant at making the day run smoothly without it feeling rigid or over-planned. Couples can actually enjoy their wedding, and that laid-back vibe means I get to capture all those real, unposed moments without interrupting the flow.

British weather can be unpredictable, but Dodmoor House has it covered. The barns are full of warm lighting and rustic details, so even if we’re shooting inside, the photos still have an incredible atmosphere.
